# Die Krönung Mariae

Beschreibung
Christus sitzt mit der Weltkugel in der Hand auf einem steinernen Thron und krönt Maria, die vor ihm kniet. Sie wird begleitet von zwei Engeln. Die Szene erinnert an Miniaturen in Gebetbüchern des Herzogs von Berry (gest. 1416). Das kleine Rundbild ist deshalb einem Künstler zuzuschreiben, der in der Nachfolge des für den Herzog in Bourges tätigen André Beauneveu (gest. 1401/02) zu suchen ist. | Rainald Grosshans

Christ is sitting on a stone throne with the globe in his hand and crowning Mary, who kneels before him accompanied by two angels. The arrangement of the figures and the faces of Mary and the angels are reminiscent of miniatures in the prayer books made for the Duc de Berry (d. 1416). Thus this small circular picture is attributed to an artist who was a successor to André Beauneveu (d. 1401/02), who worked for the duke in Bourges. | Rainald Grosshans
